How many people can I have at my event?

The max number of people total is 75. There are a few different options for wedding packages that include elopement, micro weddings and weddings, you can find those options under the “experiences” tab.

What does Sunset Cove on the Neuse River provide for events?

At this time we strictly provide the venue location grounds & a bathroom. We do not provide tables, chairs, tents, linens, lighting, etc. We do have vendors that we recommend & trust to refer you to under our recommended vendors tab.

What is the address for Sunset Cove on the Neuse River & where are you located?

Our address is given when you schedule a tour, this prevents the traffic we have had in the past from people showing up unannounced without a planned tour. We are located on Bridgeton side of the “big bridge”, directly across the river from the Riverside district of New Bern on the Neuse River. Although we are on the Bridgeton side, we have a New Bern address, and we are a short 10 minute drive to downtown New Bern.

What decor is allowed?

For wedding ceremonies and receptions decor the following is not permitted: Rice, bird seed, confetti, glitter, pyrotechnics, fake flower petals due to the potential to pollute the river/marsh/pond and harm wildlife.  

What is required to reserve a date on the calendar?

We require a signed contract as well as a 20% nonrefundable deposit to secure the date on the calendar.
1 month after signing the contract another 20% is due.
60 days before the event the remaining balance is due.

A $500.00 refundable security deposit is required for all weddings at the time of contract signing and will be returnable to the client up to two weeks after the event has been held once property has been inspected for any potential damage from the event or wedding and no damage is found, and all of the rules/requirements have been met.
Any missed payments will result in cancellation of the reservation.
Payment may be made with cash, check or through venmo.
